Highest Potential by John Hagee
1 Kings 18:21 - And Elijah came to all the people, and said, "How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him." But the people answered him not a word.

God's Will Always Brings You To Your Highest Potential

Kneeling in the shadows of Gethsemane and facing Calvary, Jesus Christ prayed, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, bout as You will" (Matthew 26:39). And in that instant of obedience to His Father's will and purpose for His life, Christ shattered the gates of hell and crushed the enemy of our souls.

Consider the conversation between the Virgin Mary and the angel Gabriel about her being the mother of God (Luke 1:26-38). She could have said, "If you think I will watch my Son live a sinless life, helping and healing people, and then be called a drunk and heretic, and be hunted and crucified with criminals, you can forget it." Instead, she said, "Let it be to me according to your word" (v. 38). What if she had said no the will of God? She would have been just another unknown person who missed her highest potential.
