I Am The God of Numbers by Deborah Waldron Fry
"Beloved. Many of you have been given discouraging "numbers". Bad reports of men concerning your health, finances, and life.

The world would even say that you, My Child, are "just a number." Fear not, Dear One. Do you not know that I am the God of numbers?

I am Creator. There is NOTHING above Me. I am He who is above any number, any report, any elementary principle of this present evil age. At one time you were subject to the rudiments of this world. But your residence has changed, Dear One. You are now IN Christ.

You are no longer a slave to the "numbers" of the natural world. Oh no, Dear One. You are no longer a slave to fear, but a Child of God. My Grace has saved you. The enemy wants you to say "I am weak", when I have said that in Me, you are strong. He wants you to speak words of FEAR, when I have given you My Spirit of POWER, love and a sound mind. Do not let the numbers of this world rule your heart and head. You are a citizen of heaven now. You walk in the SUPERNATURAL realms with Me. You are ABOVE and not beneath. You walk by the SPIRIT now and not the flesh. Choose to believe MY Report, Dear One. My numbers for you are "out of this world." For IN your Savior dwells ALL the fullness of the Godhead bodily. You are IN Me and I in you. Let no man take you captive with numbers. And be of good cheer, Beloved. I have set you FREE. The reports of this world have NO dominion over you. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. MY REPORT IS THIS: YOU ARE COMPLETE IN ME, the HEAD of ALL principality and power.

RUDIMENTS: the elements, or fundamental principles of any art, science or discipline.
...Colossians 2:8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the RUDIMENTS of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
...... 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
...Galatians 4:3In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the RUDIMENTS of the world. 4But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba!

Father!” 7So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. 8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. 9But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?

Nothing Works Without The Holy Spirit by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works (John 14:10).

The Holy Spirit is the active agent of the Godhead; He’s the power of God; He carries out the acts of God. Man was created and formed by the Holy Spirit; everything God does outside of His throne is through the Holy Spirit. It’s important to understand that nothing works without the Holy Spirit; there’s no life without Him.

If you were tasked with an evangelical assignment in your local church, for example, until and unless, you execute it by the power of the Spirit; except He’s the one working in, and through you, it’ll be a fruitless expedition. The Bible says, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13); that’s referring to the Holy Spirit. No one can do God’s work without Him. The Bible says, “…Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).

Not even the Lord Jesus could do without the Holy Spirit. All the great works He did were done through the power of the Holy Spirit. We read what He said in our opening verse: “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit, it then means you can do nothing without Him.

No wonder God wants us to be filled with the Spirit always (Ephesians 5:18). The Holy Spirit is God at work in us, building His Church through us. Recognise Him as your helper, and you’ll function always with His ability and strength; He’ll make you a success in life and in all that you do.

Prayer:
Precious Holy Spirit, I acknowledge you as my helper, and the one I need to be an absolute success in life. Thank you for your ability, strength and wisdom mightily at work in me. Health, victory, strength, prosperity and success are mine now and always, as you work in me, both to will, and to do of your good pleasure, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Open Heavens: It is a New Dawn! By Pastor E. A. Adeboye
Wednesday November 14th 2018
Memorize: We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dick place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 2nd Peter 1:19

Read: Exodus 12:1-11 (KJV)
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord's passover.

Message:
The children of is Israel experienced a new dawn when they left Egypt in circumstances that only God could have made possible. If the Lord could give a new dawn to a nation of slaves, I know that you will also experience a new dawn this season in Jesus’ Name.

The Lord told Moses and Aaron that the month at their exodus from Egypt would be the beginning of months to them. In other words, it would become the first month of a new year to them. To someone using this devotional, regardless of the fact that we are in November, this shall be the beginning of months to you because you are entering into your new year this month. You cannot afford to wait till the last day of this year to receive that miracle you desire so much, because the Lord is able and willing to do it now. He has done it before and He will still do it again. We experienced this dimension of the Lord’s move in Nigeria a couple of years ago. The country was severely under the siege of a totalitarian ruler, and the children of God were seriously praying for the country’s deliverance. During one of our monthly Holy Ghost Service meetings, the Lord suddenly spoke to me that I should instruct the congregation to greet each other ”Happy New Year”! Amazingly, this was the middle of the year.

As usual, I obeyed my Commander-in-Chief; the brethren greeted each other “Happy New Year”, and we closed the meeting. Barely 48 hours afterwards, the siege over the nation lifted. Announce to yourself or to those around you that it is a new dawn, and so shall it be in Jesus’ Name.

After declaring a new dawn for the Israelite's, God dealt with the enemies that held them bound, so much so that their king called for Moses and Aaron in the middle of the night, begging them to lead the Israelite's out of his land. These were the same people he had held in captivity for years (Exodus 12:31-33). Beloved, Psalm 126:1 says:

“When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion; we were like them that dream.”

When the Lord brings you to a new dawn, even your neighbors may not easily recognize you, because our level would have changed drastically. Can you believe that Pharaoh even asked Moses to pray for him! I decree into your life this day, by the time the Lord accomplishes what He intends to do or you, your enemies will come begging for intercessory prayers in Jesus’ Name.

Beloved, l announce to you today, it is a new dawn. All that is required of you is to keep to the precepts of God's word, and don’t ever let it cross your mind to go back to the Egypt of sin again.
Prayer point: Father, I receive my new dawn of joy, victory, breakthrough and a perfect walk with You in Jesus’Name.

When the Pressure Is On by Gloria Copeland
Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16

Have you ever noticed that those who have the most exciting, faith-inspiring testimonies are those who've been under pressure at some time in their lives? They're the people who stayed faithful when the pressure was on. They're the people who believed God's promises of prosperity in the midst of desperate financial situations or trusted God for healing in the face of a terminal disease.

My friend, when you get into a hard spot, that's not the time to back out on God and begin to say, "Well, God, why did You let this happen to me?" It's not the time to step back and re-evaluate His faithfulness.

What I'm saying to you is this: When tough times keep dragging on and the situations around you seem to refuse to get in line with the promises of God, don't re-evaluate God! He's not missing it, and He's not failing.

If you're going to re-evaluate anything, re-evaluate yourself! Look and see where you may have failed. If you still can't find out what the problem is, just say, "God, I don't know what's wrong here, and I'm asking You to show me. But one thing I know, the problem's not with You, and I continue to be moved by Your Word and not by circumstances." Then, when He reveals something to you, be quick to make changes.

I want to encourage you to stand firm and to keep honoring God with your words. The Lord is listening to you when the pressure is on. What is He going to hear?

Unbreakable by Billy Graham
. . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
—Joshua 24:15

The basic unit of any society is the home. When the home begins to break, the society is on the way to disintegration. Thousands of homes are almost on the rocks. Many couples are fearful lest their home, too, will be broken some day. There is one great insurance policy that you can take out, in order to guarantee the unity and happiness of your home. It is simple: Make Christ the center of your home.

A home is like a solar system. The center, the great sun, holds the solar system together. If it were not for the sun, the solar system would fly to pieces. Unless the Son of God is put at the center of your home, it, too, may fly to pieces.

Read these 4 Biblical reminders about tough relationships.

Prayer for the day
How easy it is to push You to one side, Lord, and superficially remember Your blessings. May we always keep You at the center of all that we do in our homes.

Managing Stress Like Jesus: Take Time to Recharge by Rick Warren
“Crowds of people were coming and going so that Jesus and his followers did not even have time to eat. He said to them, ‘Come away by yourselves, and we will go to a lonely place to get some rest’” (Mark 6:31 NCV).

When we think about Jesus, we tend to think about the miracles. We think about him teaching thousands. We think about him dying for our sins—and rising from the dead on the first Easter morning.
But we don’t usually think about Jesus relaxing.

That’s too bad because it’s one of the reasons Jesus was able to live stress-free despite all the demands upon his life.

Over the last few days, I’ve been sharing with you principles of how Jesus managed stress. The first six were:

Identification: Know who you are
Motivation: Know whose approval you are living for
Vocation: Know your calling
Concentration: Focus on what matters most
Meditation: Listen to God
Collaboration: Join a small group
The seventh and final one is the Principle of Recreation.

Even though Jesus had more important work to do than we do, he still took time to relax, go to parties, and just have fun.

The Bible says, “Crowds of people were coming and going so that Jesus and his followers did not even have time to eat. He said to them, ‘Come away by yourselves, and we will go to a lonely place to get some rest’” (Mark 6:31 NCV).

In Mark 6, Jesus and the disciples didn’t even have time to eat because they were so busy. But Jesus looks at his small group and says, “Guys, you deserve a break today. So let’s get away.”

If Jesus can rest and relax, so can we.

In fact, God thought rest and relaxation was so important he put it in the Ten Commandments. Right along with commands to not murder, commit adultery, or steal, God tells us to take one out of every seven days to worship and rest.

If you’re too busy to take time off, you’re simply too busy—and likely too stressed.

PLAY today’s audio teaching from Pastor Rick

Do you find it most difficult to relax for an hour every day, a day every week, or a week every year? Why?
What’s the biggest excuse you use for not getting enough rest and relaxation?

He's Working on Your Behalf by Joel Osteen
"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."
(Romans 8:28, NLT)

TODAY'S WORD:

Right now, God is working behind the scenes in your life! No matter what you may be facing, no matter what trial you may be going through, God has a plan to turn things around in your favor. Right now, He is working out a plan for your good. Right now, He is orchestrating the right people to come across your path. He is orchestrating the right opportunities to open up to you.

You may not see it in the natural, but look with your eyes of faith today. Keep standing. Keep believing. Keep hoping. Keep following His Word. Focus on His goodness in your life, knowing that He rewards the people who seek after Him. As you meditate on the faithfulness of God and show your love for Him by following His Word, you will see His great plan come to pass. You’ll experience His peace and joy and embrace the victory He has prepared for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. I trust that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. Give me Your strength and peace today and fill me with Your faith that overcomes in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God's Approval by Joyce Meyer
And they answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus [as your personal Savior and entrust yourself to Him] and you will be saved, you and your household [if they also believe].”

— Acts 16:31 (AMP)

There is an epidemic of insecurity in our society today. Many people are insecure and feel bad about themselves, which steals their joy and causes major problems in all their relationships.

I know the effect insecurity can have on lives because I experienced it myself. Those who have been hurt badly through abuse or severe rejection, as I have, often seek the approval of others to try to overcome their feelings of rejection and low self-esteem.

They suffer from those feelings and use the addiction of approval to try to remove the pain. They are miserable if anyone seems to not approve of them in any way or for any reason, and they are anxious about the disapproval until they feel they are once again accepted. They may do almost anything to gain the approval they feel they have lost—even things their conscience tells them are wrong.

For example, if a person is met with disapproval when she declines an invitation, she might change her plans and accept the invitation just to gain approval. She compromises herself for the sake of feeling approved.

Prayer Starter: Lord, it’s true that You are the only one whom I need to please. Today, help me to not compromise myself or be a slave to pleasing others, no matter what I feel. I seek Your favor alone. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The Consequences of Impatience by Dr. Charles Stanley
TUESDAY
13
Luke 15:11-21

How serious is a lack of patience? We generally write it off as inconsequential. It’s often seen as a weakness rather than a sin—after all, it’s not as bad as adultery, theft, or murder. But have you ever considered what your impatience reveals about your attitude toward God?

When we demonstrate an inability to tolerate delay, we are telling the Lord, “I don’t trust Your timing; mine is better.” Can you see the seriousness of this attitude? Impatience is a display of pride because we are elevating our understanding above that of our all-knowing God.

The prodigal son’s journey toward disaster began with impatience. He wanted his inheritance immediately and was unwilling to wait. After taking matters into his own hands, he faced the following consequences:

He brought sorrow on his family. Likewise, our impatience hurts those we love.

He left the security of home. When we run ahead of God, we often leave behind the voices of reason and wisdom in our life.

He found himself in ruin. God’s blessing accompanies our obedience, so we stand to lose a great deal when we ignore His timing.

He felt unworthy. We don’t experience fellowship with the Lord when impatience keeps us outside of His will.

Although the prodigal son was welcomed home, he could never regain the inheritance he’d lost. We, too, must often live with painful consequences as a result of jumping ahead of God. Let’s remember it’s better to wait patiently until the Lord moves us forward.

Made Righteous by John Hagee
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

I have been made righteous by the blood of Christ. I am saved and daily delivered from sin’s dominion through His resurrection.

Because I receive, trust in and rely on His name, I no longer belong to or claim any earthly bloodline but only that of the Spirit of God.

The Lord God visits the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Him and serve other gods. I am totally and forever exempt from this curse because I am washed in the blood of Jesus. I am engrafted in Christ; I am a new creation—a new creature altogether. The old has passed away, and the new has come!

Any curse, which was in force or stood against my family or me, has been forever cancelled and thoroughly blotted out. Christ set it aside and cleared me of it completely by nailing it to the cross. God disarmed the principalities and powers that rage against me and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in Christ and in the cross.

God acknowledges me as His own by putting His seal upon me and giving me His Holy Spirit in my heart as a guarantee of the fulfillment of His promise. God shows mercy and steadfast love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments. I am free from any curse now and forevermore.

The Truth Will Set You Free by Jerry Savelle
November 13, 2018
Jesus said …“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32 NKJV)

As the god of this age, Satan seeks to blind those who are perishing. He also wants to blind the hearts and minds of God’s people to the truth of who they really are in Christ.

Paul addressed this in his letter to the church at Corinth when he said, “whose minds the god of this age has blinded … lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ … should shine on them” (2 Corinthians 2:4 NKJV).

Satan wants to put blinders over your eyes so that you cannot see who you really are in Christ, and one of his most effective tools is religious tradition. That’s why Jesus admonished religious leaders for “making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down” (Mark 7:13 NKJV).

The only thing that can remove Satan’s blinders and break the chains of bondage is truth. And the only valid source for finding truth is the Word of God. By definition, the word truth means “the highest form of reality that exists. Therefore, the Bible is the highest form of reality that exists. The more truth you know, the greater freedom you will enjoy.

God is not hiding truth from you. He has hidden it for you in His Word—all the way from Genesis through Revelation. If you are hungry enough for freedom, then you’ll get into God’s Word.

And if you abide in that Word, it will make you free.

Confession: I declare that I have a fresh hunger for the Word of God. My spiritual eyes are open to the specific truths I personally need today, which God wants to reveal to me.

Claim Your Restoration! by Joseph Prince
Acts 3:20–21

…that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things...

As a believer, you have a right to expect restoration of the things that the devil has stolen from you. It may be your health, marriage or finances, but payback time is definitely coming!

Acts 3:20–21 tells us that before Jesus comes back for His church, we will experience “the times of restoration of all things.” What a hope that gives us, knowing that God will restore to us all things before Jesus returns!

My friend, if the devil is attacking you in any area, tell God, “Father, I will not allow the devil to rob me of my health, marriage, children or finances. These blessings are blood-bought and paid for by Your Son!” Claim your restoration in Christ and heaven will hear you.

There will be such times of restoration of all things to the body of Christ that His people will only get better, stronger, healthier, and more successful and glorious! When God restores, even under the old covenant, His people always received much more than what they had originally lost, in terms of quality and/or quantity. How much more will our restoration be under the new covenant because of the shed blood of the Lamb of God!

A divorcee with a teenage son came to our church and accepted the Lord in May 2003. She began to pray for the restoration of her marriage and the reunion of her family. She knew that the chances of this happening were close to zero since she had not met nor spoken with her ex-husband since their divorce 10 years ago. She did not even know if he had remarried. But God caused their paths to cross at a wedding at the end of 2003. Today, their relationship is healed, and together with their son, they worship as a family in church.

Even though what happened for that sister may not happen for every divorced person (God can give you a better spouse and marriage), I believe that God wants you to know that your times of restoration are here. Heaven is waiting to hear you stake your claim for restoration!

The Warfare for My Marriage by Tammy Lang Jensen
This morning I just kept seeing a vision of Jesus carrying me. Just like he always does when I feel I have come to the end of my rope.

The warfare for my marriage, finances and my daughter have been so intense some days it leaves me bone weary.

Of course the enemy does not stop there, he has also come for my prophetic voice, hearing and seeing. He does not fight fair and in this season the gloves have definitely been off. But I remind myself, “That I serve a God of the impossible!” And then he reminds me that: It was my hand that laid the foundations of the earth, my right hand that spread out the heavens above. When I called out the stars, they all appear in order (Isaiah 48:13).

I am here to encourage you to press on. The Lord wants us to be useful in His hands. The blacksmith stands at his forge to make a sharp tool, pounding and shaping it with all his might (Isaiah 44:12). Press in to the pressure, relent and be molded to the Lord’s delight. Many of you are fire-starters, pregnant with REVIVAL FIRE 🔥 The pain and travail it takes to release that is earth shaking, but so worth it. Many cry out for revival, but how many are ready to be midwives? How many are willing to push, press, sweat and work until the job is done.

A woman when she is in travail has sorrow, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world (John 16:21). Bringing the Lord’s purposes on earth as it is in heaven is not for weaklings. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, “I am Strong!” I hear the Lord say, “Charge!” Charge the gates of hell, reclaim all that was lost or stolen. Rise up in a Holy Indignation and get the job done. There is power in your words, speak to those things that be not as though they are.

I will make rivers flow among barren hills and Springs of water run in the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water and the dryland into flowing Springs (Isaiah 41:18). And if your theme song lately has been, “Cry me a river!” Then just tell the devil: As I pass through the valley of Baca (weeping), The Lord will make it a place of Springs, and the Autumn Rains will clothe it with blessings (Psalm 84:6). Get your umbrella, because I hear the sound of the abundance of rain. There will be fire upon the water....

Walking In The Steps by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps (1 Peter 2:21).

The Lord Jesus, in His earth-walk, led an exemplary life. Not only was He a phenomenal intrusion into the sense realm, He was extraordinary in all facets. He was never in want; He had no consciousness of need; He was always in charge of situations and circumstances. He was a marvel, to say the least. He used words like no one ever did.

There isn’t a more perfect example for us to emulate than Jesus. He exercised absolute mastery over circumstances; never flustered or ruffled by anything. Every word He spoke came to pass. Once, He was in a boat with His disciples and they heard Him talk to the boisterous winds and waves. Prior to that time, they had heard Him talk to a tree, and the tree withered from its roots. He talked to blind eyes, and to lame legs, they all heard and obeyed Him. No wonder they asked in utter bewilderment, “What manner of man is this?”

Well, I’ll tell you the manner of man Jesus is: He heads up the new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says if any man be in Christ, he’s a new creature; a new kind of man; this new kind of man is like Jesus. We’re of the same stock. 1 John 4:17 says, “…as he is, so are we in this world.” This is the reason we can emulate Him. Our theme scripture tells us to follow His steps; in other words, follow His examples, because as He is, so are we. He said in Mark 11:23, “You shall have what you say.” Hallelujah!

Practise this even now: command any boisterous wind and wave that may be billowing against your finances, your job, your academics, family, ministry, etc., to cease. Speak to diabetes to be healed; tell that cancerous growth to dematerialise. Like Jesus, you can talk to anything and it’ll obey you. That’s the example Jesus left us with, His very steps that we have to follow.

Prayer:
Thank you blessed Father, for the worthy and glorious examples of Jesus. I take charge of situations and circumstances, and reign in this life over Satan and the elements of this world by the power of the Holy Spirit, and authority in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Heart Trouble by Billy Graham
I beg you to keep away from the evil pleasures of this world . . .
—1 Peter 2:11 (TLB)

We all know there is no such thing as absolute freedom. We cannot drive down the street at 100 miles an hour. You can’t swing your fist at me, because your freedom stops at the end of my nose.

We can say that we want freedom to publish pornography, to push harmful drugs, to have unrestricted sex, to lie, to cheat; but if we continue with that kind of permissive freedom, we shall destroy ourselves.

Man can remain free only so long as he has the moral power to restrain his appetites. Basically, our problem is heart trouble. Our hearts need to be changed … peace will never come until we have changed human nature, until people begin loving each other instead of hating each other.

Prayer for the day
I need Your guidelines in my life, Lord. Loving You frees me from the bondage of my carnal appetite.

Stake Your Claim by Kenneth Copeland
Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.... Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

Psalm 112:1, 3

I'll never forget the time Gloria discovered that scripture. We didn't have any money at the time, and the walls in our house were as bare as they could be. But she was ready to decorate. So she took that promise, "Wealth and riches shall be in his house" and laid claim to it by faith.

Suddenly, everywhere we went, someone was giving us a painting or some other little treasure for our house.

Unfortunately, most believers aren't as quick to believe God for that kind of thing as Gloria was. Some even claim God doesn't promise us New Testament believers physical prosperity, just spiritual. But the truth is, you can't separate the two. That's why Jesus says, "If you'll seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all these [material] things will be added to you." He knows the spiritual realm and the material realm are connected.

The physical world cannot operate independently from the spiritual world. What happens in one is simply a reflection of what happens in the other.

Obviously, your spiritual standing profoundly affects your financial standing. That's why, when you get hold of the gospel and begin to prosper spiritually, you can begin to prosper physically and materially as well.

Don't let anyone talk you out of God's promises of prosperity. You don't have to choose between financial and spiritual prosperity. Both belong to you. Lay claim to them by faith. As a born-again child of God, dare to reach out and receive the riches that belong to you!

Open Heavens: This Book of the Law by Pastor E. A. Adeboye
Tuesday November 13th 2018
Memorize: But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James 1: 25

Read: Deuteronomy 30:10-14 (KJV)
10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Hymnal:

Message:
The Bible is indeed a book of law. It is a user’s manual that gives instructions on how best to live our lives successfully. imagine buying a device you have never used before, only to discover later that its user’s manual is missing!

You will either go back to the manufacturer for the manual or try to figure your way around using it. If you go with the latter option, you will have no idea of what you are doing, and if you chance you get the gadget working after playing around with it, you will never fully understand it in its entirety, and so you will not be able to fully optimize its use. That is how it is with our lives. Our lives are like the gadget, and the Bible is the manual meant to give us a step by step guide on how to live our lives. Unlike earthly manuals that you can master within a short time and discard eventually, the Bible is a manual that you will need till you breathe your last. As Christians, our physical and spiritual lives are not meant to be average. God expects us to live life at its best, and He has given us the Bible to instruct us on how to achieve this successfully (2nd Timothy 3:16-17).

The Bible is our book of solutions, containing answers to every problem we may face in this world. At a point in time, I was having issues solving a mathematical problem. I was on the right track, but I had so many equations and it was difficult finding a way to solve them all. I decided to take a break and read my Bible. The portion of the Bible I read was where Moses parted the Red Sea. There and then, God told me that I should solve the problem just as the Red Sea was parted in two. He opened my eyes to see that all the equations could be divided into two categories based on certain qualities. Going by this inspiration, I placed some of the equations on t e left and some on the right, and having grouped them this way, the problem was easier to work out. I solved those on the left and those on the right independently, and then I brought them back together again, just as the Red Sea came back together. That was how I solved the difficult problem and got the correct answer.

The Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit and can only be understood by His help (2nd Corinthians 3:6).The more you chew on the word, the more you will see things like G0d and become like Him. You need to note however that it is not just about reading the Bible, but also about understanding it by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Whenever you want to study the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand it, and before long, you will have deep insights and see things that no one else has seen. You also need to live by God’s Instructions in the Bible, for it is only then that the anointing of good success can be activated in your life (Joshua 1:8).

Key point:
This book of the law should never depart out of your mouth: is it part of your daily communication?

Managing Stress Like Jesus: Join a Small Group by Rick Warren
“[Jesus] said to them, ‘My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me’” (Matthew 26:38 NIV).

Did you know Jesus had a small group?

Read the Gospels, and you’ll realize Jesus did just about everything with his small group—those he called to be his closest disciples.

It reveals one of the seven stress-management principles of Jesus. Here are five we’ve already discussed:

Identification: Know who you are
Motivation: Know whose approval you are living for
Vocation: Know your calling
Concentration: Focus on what matters most
Meditation: Listen to God
The sixth principle is collaboration. If you want to reduce your stress, you need to get in a small group.

You were never intended to handle the stress of life by yourself. God wants you to share it with others.

You’ve probably heard this statement: If you need to get something done right, do it yourself.

That’s a recipe for stress—not success!

It’s not what Jesus did. The very first thing Jesus did in his ministry was to form a small group. He knew God intended we live in community, so he lived out that truth.

Jesus turned to his small group during the most stressful night of his life. When Jesus knew he’d be arrested in Garden of Gethsemane, the night before he went to the cross, he didn’t go alone. He took his small group with him.

The Bible says, “[Jesus] said to them, ‘My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me’” (Matthew 26:38 NIV).

Jesus didn’t need his small group’s advice. He didn’t need their words of comfort. He just needed their presence.

If Jesus benefited from a small group, imagine all the ways you can benefit, too!

Tell of His Goodness by Joel Osteen
"I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life."
(Psalm 119:93, NIV)

TODAY'S WORD:

Sometimes I think about my life, “How in the world did I get to where I am?” I’m not the most talented or the most qualified. I’ve done my best to be faithful, to make the most of what God has given me. The fact is that you can only go so high in your own strength. You can reach a certain level with your education, your talent and your ability, but it’s the goodness of God that will open doors you could not open on your own. The goodness of God will cause the right people to notice you. The goodness of God will take you places you never dreamed of.

I know many people can say that God has given them favor, promotion and increase. He has made things happen that you could not make happen by yourself. It’s important to acknowledge Him and praise Him for His goodness. Why don’t you take some time today and tell someone about what God has done for you. Praise Him and glorify Him because He is worthy. Tell of His goodness and watch what He will do in your future.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I will tell of Your love. I will tell of Your good deeds. I choose to glorify You in everything I say and do in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Retire from Self-Care by Joyce Meyer
O God, You are my God; early will I seek You...

— Psalm 63:1 (NKJV)

God wants to take care of you, and He can do a much better job of it if you will avoid a problem called independence, which is really self-care.

The desire to take care of yourself is based on fear. You are afraid of what might happen if you entrust yourself totally to God and He doesn’t come through for you. The root problem of independence is you trust yourself more than you trust God.

People love to have a backup plan. You may ask God to get involved in your life, but if He doesn’t respond as quickly as you’d like, you take control back into your own hands.

But God has a plan for you—and His plan is much better than yours. So, give yourself to Him and see what happens. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Prayer Starter: Father, I can’t do it on my own. Help me to place my trust in You and turn over complete control. I want Your plan for my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The Strength For The Battle by John Hagee
Exodus 15:3
The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

The Psalms tell us that God gives us strength for the battle. He makes our way perfect and trains our hands to fight. On November 11, 1919, President Woodrow Wilson declared Armistice Day a new holiday in the United States of America. The intention was to honor those who gave their lives in World War I. In 1954, Congress amended Armistice Day to include and celebrate all veterans who have served in our military and fought for our freedom, effectively changing its name to Veterans Day.

Because of YOU, our veterans, the United States of America is still free. God bless each and every one of you! Because of YOU, we the people have the opportunity to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We are forever indebted to you for the freedoms that we enjoy every day. The nations of the world are safer because of your sacrifice. Your families have shared in that sacrifice…living through seasons without a father or mother, a son or daughter, a brother or sister, praying daily for your safe return to their arms. Today, we thank your families for their sacrifice as well.

You have freely offered your expertise, your talents, your wisdom and a heart for a cause greater than yourself. And some of you have poured out the last full measure of your devotion for our nation. Freedom certainly is not free. Because of your protection, our nation can grow stronger and our children can pursue their dreams.

To our veterans, may you know that you are appreciated and deeply loved. May the peace and joy of the Lord be present in your lives today and every day.
