We all have moments of victory and moments of defeat. How you deal with each will determine your position in the kingdom.

In the latter days David was a great king, but in his youth he was all but forgotten about. Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king.

They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days (Hosea 3:5). The law of the land is and always will be reaping and sowing. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows (Galatians 6:7).

When you reap the harvest of your land, moreover, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field nor gather the gleaning of your harvest; you are to leave them for the needy and the alien.

I am the Lord your God (Leviticus 23:22). We all seem to understand sow the wind, reap the whirlwind. Do good unto others and good will eventually return. However, what about working the fields all day and making sure others benefit from all your hard work? Have you left enough for the needy and the destitute.

Will you gladly share your back breaking effort’s. Will you be gracious in victory, and defeat. God is in the heart changing business, the character molding, life-changing, soul cleaning, sin redeeming God that he is. Yet you Lord are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand (Isaiah 64:8). How hard is it to say not my will, but your will be done Lord. “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done” (Luke 22:42).

Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end (John 13:1). The Lord God has loved you unto the ends of the earth. And what looked like the greatest defeat as he died upon the cross, was the greatest victory....And having disarmed the powers and authorities he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15).

I am the living one; I was dead and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave (Revelation 1:18). I have never lost a battle. You do your part, and I’ll do mine. And today we will walk to victory together....
