The Garden of Eden by Tammy Lang Jensen

The Garden of Eden by Tammy Lang Jensen
The Lord called me into the garden this morning. He said, My people cry out to me in distress and then run back to the world.

They may no longer straddle the fence or waiver between two opinions. Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waiver between two opinions?

If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” But the people said nothing (1 Kings 18:21). Will you be found silent when the Lord brings conviction to your heart. Will you say you want one thing, but do another. I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway (Romans 7:19). The struggle of doing the right thing, and resisting the wiles of the devil has gone on since the garden of Eden.

Now the serpent was more cunning then any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, has God indeed said, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden? (Genesis 3:1). We all know how the story goes. Eve was tempted and gave in and persuaded Adam also. And we have been bare naked to our sin ever since. But we have a great promise in the Bible. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.

But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). Always look for the door of escape, even if you have to climb out the window. Remember, resist the devil and he will flee (James 4:7). But the Bible also warns, be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we are Not Defenseless against him. Therefore put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground and after you have done everything, TO STAND! (Ephesians 6:13).

Warriors Arise! Take up your battle station, this might get a little messy. I have always heard it said, “Only the strong survive!” Isn’t it wonderful we have this amazing promise in the Bible. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). You are not alone, God uphold you!...
