Angels Move On Your Behalf by Joel Osteen
Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
Psalm 103:20, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:

Did you know that when you speak words of faith, angels are dispatched to move on your behalf? The Scripture tells us that God gives His angels charge over us. That means, when God hears you declaring His Word, He says to the angels, “Do you hear My child speaking words of faith? He believes I can do great things. Angels, I have an assignment for you. Go to work and begin to turn the situation around.” And the angels obey His Word!

If we could pull back the curtain on the unseen realm, we would see a host of angels and heavenly beings watching over us. That’s why it’s so important to guard what we say because with our words, we either open a door for God and His angels to move on our behalf, or we open a door for the enemy and the forces of darkness.

Make the decision today to only speak words of faith and life over you, your home and your family. Declare God’s Word and His promises and let your words set the angels into motion to help you fulfill the destiny God has planned for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father in heaven, thank You for the relationships in my life. Help me find creative ways to connect with the people I love. Help me to walk and live in a spirit of unity as You commanded in Jesus' name. Amen.

Attitude Is Everything by Joyce Meyer
…He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

— 1 Corinthians 10:13 (AMPC)

Some of the challenges we face in life may be very difficult ones, but God never allows more to come upon us than we can bear. In fact, with every temptation, He always provides a way out.

The scripture above not only says He provides a way out, but it also says He gives us the strength to bear up under trials with patience. That means we can go through them with a good attitude! Maintaining a good attitude in the midst of something unpleasant is the key to victory, and it enables us to enjoy the journey.

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You for the strength to deal with my current circumstances. Help me today to see my life with a new perspective. Help me to choose a positive attitude and see things with the “eye of faith.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

God, Our Friend by Dr. Charles Stanley
John 14:21-26

The word of God is filled with many amazing promises, and today’s passage is no exception. It’s difficult for us to grasp the magnitude of Jesus’ commitment to those who love and obey Him. But look at what He promises about whoever is His committed follower: “My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him” (John 14:23).

This is the most precious, intimate relationship we could ever have. And it is stunning to realize this personal connection is with the all-powerful, sovereign Creator of all things! Here are some ways to nurture this remarkable treasure:

Pursue intimacy with God. Although God’s love is poured into our heart at salvation through the Holy Spirit, our awareness of that love increases the more we get to know Him through His Word (Eph. 3:17-19).

Protect intimacy with God. To do this, we must be obedient to His Word. When we disobey or pursue something other than the Lord, our fellowship with Him can be broken (Psalm 66:18).

Pass on the good news about intimacy with God. The greatest gift we can give to other people is a view of our friendship with God. When family, friends, and coworkers hear us talk about our relationship with Christ, the Spirit can use our words and example to awaken them to their own need for such a connection with God.

What are you doing to grow closer to the Lord? And how are you helping others to recognize their own desire to know Him personally?

No One Escapes This Life Without Conflict by John Hagee
1 Peter 4:12-13
Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy

God sees us as victors! He expects us to win because He has already won the war. Before we are crowned as conquerors, though, we must prepare for conflict.

No one escapes this life without conflict. God gave Jericho to the Israelites, but after the walls tumbled down, the real hand-to-hand combat began. Victory was still assured, but they contended for the promise of God.

In today’s verse, Peter warned the church to expect the fiery trial – nothing strange about it. His next words were “but rejoice.” No whining in war, complaining in conflict, or bellyaching in battle! But rejoice!

If there is an enemy in front of you, rejoice that God is about to reveal His glory in you, and exceeding joy will break out. No one revels in a struggle, but we have this assurance: at the end of every conflict, glorious rejoicing awaits.

Do not fear the fight! Stand in the power of His Word and the authority of His name. The God that fights for you is greater than whatever fights against you. The battle belongs to Him.

Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Your greatest victory is before you! Nothing is impossible because God has called you more than a conqueror. Fight in the power of His might!

Success Is Conditonal by Jerry Savelle
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. But he who … is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. (James 1:22, 25 NKJV)

Some of God’s promised blessings are conditional. This means you have to do something or meet a certain condition to qualify for the expected result. When you meet the conditions, your success is guaranteed; you cannot fail. Other blessings from God are unconditional. For example, His love is always offered to you unconditionally—regardless of who you are or what you do.

While God’s love is always given unconditionally, success is never guaranteed: it is conditional. Although success and prosperity have been promised to all of God’s people, they will not automatically come to pass in your life. You must meet the conditions.

You might say, “Brother Jerry, when you talk about conditions, are you talking about getting back under the Law?”

No, I’m not. But I am telling you that nowhere in the Word of God will you find any statement that even suggests you can do absolutely nothing and expect God to bless you. In fact the Bible says, “A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep—so shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, and your need like an armed man” (Proverbs 6:10-11 NKJV).

Although God will sometimes pour out acts of grace in a person’s life, the only way to guarantee success is to learn God’s conditions for success, and then act on them. Here’s the one scripture that gives us insight how to obtain success:

“This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” (Joshua 1:8 AMP).

Confession: I make a quality decision today to meditate on the Word of God day and night, and to be a doer of the Word, not a hearer only. As I do this, I will become prosperous and have good success in everything I set my hand to do.

Don't Let Your Past Rob You by Joseph Prince
Philippians 3:13–14

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Are you living a life of regrets thinking, “If only…”? “If only I had that college education…If only I had married the right girl…If only I had taken up the other job…If only I had not made that stupid mistake…”

Is your past robbing you of the joy of today? Then forget your past!

You might say, “But Pastor Prince, you do not know what I have done in the past!”

Consider Paul. If the devil had anything to bring against Paul, it would be reminders of how he had persecuted the early church and caused the deaths of many, including Stephen, the first Christian martyr.

Paul had done horrendous things that were hard for him to forget. But he had such a revelation of God’s awesome forgiveness that he could say, “forgetting those things which are behind…I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Beloved, God has forgiven you of all your sins. He has completely forgiven you and declared, “Your sins and lawless deeds, I will remember no more” (see Hebrews 10:17).

Like Paul, you can forget your past, the wrongs you have done and the hurts you have caused others or been through yourself. God can take the tears of yesterday and transform them into the miracles of tomorrow. He can restore to you in all abundance what you have lost. He can cause all things, even the painful events of your past, to work together for your good (see Romans 8:28).

God’s Word says, “The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard” (Isaiah 58:8). His glory will cover your past. Wherever you go, His glory covers your past. It is no longer the same past that you know of because His glory has descended on it. Your past is past. It has been wiped out. It is gone! So don’t let your past rob you of today’s joy any longer!

Each day we face various challenges that make it hard for us to rest. If we look around us, we see so much need as well. So how do we find rest in this world? As we continue to study Paul’s life and the difficulties he encountered, we will see how God encouraged him to be at peace in the midst of the turmoil surrounding him.

Wholeheartedly by Tammy Lang Jensen
I had a beautiful vision this morning. I saw a woman pushing through a crowd. The crowd was all dark and gray, but there was a golden light that shined down from heaven over her and it seem to illuminate her way.

I then heard the scripture: And, behold, a woman which was diseased with an issue of blood for twelve years came behind them, and touched the hem of His garment (Matthew 9:20).

But Jesus said, “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out of me (Luke 8:46). Have you deliberately touched Jesus, have you pursued him with your whole heart? We are to love him with our whole heart, body, mind and soul. We are to relent, release and surrender to Him....

What are you holding on to, do you have the strength to let it go today? Can you leave it at the altar and walk away. I felt led to inquire more about the altar and was hearing the song in my spirit,”Come to the Altar!”....

The prayer Altar represents a lifestyle where we draw the presence of God and push back the spiritual darkness to see transformation come into our lives and the lives of others, we can also pray for territorial transformation. The altar is a place of adoring, listening, turning, agreeing and reviving. The altar in the Bible also represents”God’s Table”, a sacred place for sacrifices and gifts offered up to God....

May we learn to pour ourselves out as a love offering before the Lord. May we always be a living sacrifice with or without our healing. May nothing ever separate us from the love of God. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor demons, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39)....

Reach out and touch the hem of his garment today....

He is closer than you think....

The Blood of the Lamb by Deborah Waldron Fry
Heard, "It is the time of MANIFOLD BLESSINGS!" and I saw a "line" stretching from many generations back and going forward into the generations of Believers alive today and heard this,"

The enemy cannot curse whom I have blessed." The line was the Blood of the Lamb and BLESSINGS were flowing across the generations to this time, ever expanding and multiplying as they came!

Beloved. Do not fear that a curse can be upon you, for you have been born again from above. The enemy cannot curse whom I have blessed. I have redeemed you from the curse of the law. ALL of My Blessings came to you through the Son. He took the curses at the Cross so that you are now blessed, My Child. Generational curses are NULL and VOID through the Blood of the Lamb. The Courts of Heaven have declared you innocent of all charges! Oh yes, Dear One. I took your place and you are now the BLESSED of the Lord.

I have redeemed you, called you by name, and you are Mine. Prayers of generations are being answered in a mighty way. You shall reap with joy what you and your generations have sown in tears. GENERATIONAL BLESSINGS are yours! Yes, My Child, this is coming to pass. Get ready to RECEIVE, Beloved. You shall reap with joyful shouting! Shout unto your God with the voice of triumph! Now is the time for the My MANIFOLD BLESSINGS to flow!

MANIFOLD: (rabh; poikilos): many, abundant, to multiply, to increase, alone in kind, none like it before

...Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” 14He redeemed us in order that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

...Luke 18: 29 And Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30who will not receive many times (MANIFOLD) as much AT THIS TIME and in the age to come, eternal life.”
...Numbers 23:8 How can I curse what God has not cursed? How can I denounce what Yahweh has not denounced?

...Proverbs 26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
...Psalm 126:5Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. 6He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

...Psalm 47:1Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout unto God with a voice of triumph. 2How awesome is the LORD the Most High, the great King over all the earth!

Open Heavens: Is It As To The Lord? by Pastor E.A Adeboye
Friday September 20th 2019
Memorise: With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Ephesians 6:7

Read: Ephesians 6:5-8 (KJV)
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Bible in one year:
2nd Kings 7-8,
Daniel 5:1-12,

Hymn:
Sing hymn 4

Message:
Whenever our actions are not based on pleasing the Lord, they will definitely be tainted by a purpose that is far from ideal.

For example, only God knows the motive behind Cain’s sacrifice in Genesis chapter 4, but it ultimately led to the murder of his younger brother. Indeed, the Holy Spirit says we should not be weary in doing good deeds (Galatians 6:9). However, the only way we will not be weary in well-doing is when we do it as to the Lord, simply because human beings can be very ungrateful, and if we are waiting for the gratitude of men, we may end up not doing any good thing at all. Thankfully, the Lord has promised to commend and reward those who do good deeds. Speaking on this, the Lord said in Matthew 25:34-35:

“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:”

There are times when I feel the people I am labouring over do not appreciate my love, concern and efforts to make them what God wants them to be, and I just feel like stopping it all. The Lord has spoken to me on several of such occasions that I should always do everything He ask me to do as unto Him alone, especially as He has never disappointed me. This word has kept me going all these years. Sometimes He sends me encouragement from unexpected quarters, like the time I was feeling so discouraged and a little girl from a place very far away brought me a cake. God used her to prove to me that my labour and efforts do not go unnoticed before Him.

In Ephesians 6:5-8, we are admonished as servants to be faithful in our service to our masters, employers and superiors at our places of work. Of course, even when we attain leadership positions, Jesus taught us to serve, not with eyes service or for self-gratification. Some leaders will not promote their subordinates even when they are due for it. Let such leaders remember the efficacy of God’s word in Ephesians 6:8, which says:

“Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.”

Our God is not partial; He is a perfect and just Judge. Even if man forgets, He will not forget. Therefore, whatever you do for His sake, expect to get considerable rewards from Him alone and don’t look to man (Hebrews 6:10).

Prayer Point
Father, in all I do in this world, please help me to always remember to do it as unto you.

Time to Get Serious by Kenneth Copeland
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee.... I [will] remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Psalm 63:1,6

If you’re going to live in divine health, there are going to be times when you’ll have to be downright extreme about the Word of God. Times when you may be facing a sickness so severe that you need more than just a few moments in the Word and a quick prayer to receive your healing.

I want to tell you, in very practical terms, what I would do in a situation like that.

The moment I woke up in the morning, before I did anything else, I’d take Communion. I’d say, “Lord, I dedicate my body all day today to the service of my Lord Jesus Christ. I take Jesus’ pure blood shed for me.”

Then I’d put the devil in his place. I’d say, “I rebuke you, Satan. You’re not going to put any sickness and disease on me today. Regardless of the symptoms, regardless of what my body thinks about it, by the power of Jesus through His Spirit, I have overcome this sickness because He who is within me is greater than he who is in the world.”

Then, all day long, I’d thank God for my healing. I’d choose some teaching tapes that would fill my mind and my spirit with the anointed Word of God, and I’d listen to them throughout the day. In the afternoon, I’d praise God and receive Communion again to remind myself that the blood of Jesus is in my veins, that I’m part of God’s family.

You don’t have to wait until the second Sunday of each month or whatever to receive Communion. Jesus just said, “This do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me” (1 Corinthians 11:25). And if you’re facing a serious attack of the devil, you need to remember Jesus all day and all night. You need to consider Jesus until thoughts of Him push the thoughts of that sickness right out of your mind.

That night before bed I’d receive Communion again, then I’d praise myself to sleep. If I woke up in the night, I’d reach over and get my Bible and read all the healing scriptures and make the devil sorry he woke me.

When the devil launches a serious attack against your body, don’t mess around. Get serious about the Word. Put yourself under its constant care and it will take good care of you.

Hebrews 4:9-16

Do You Surrender? by Billy Graham
It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others.
—Ephesians 2:10 (TLB)

Happiness and all of the unlimited benefits which flow from the storehouse of heaven are contingent upon our relationship to God. Absolute dependency and absolute yieldedness are the conditions of being His child. Only His children are entitled to receive those things that lend themselves to happiness; and in order to be His child, there must be surrender of the will to Him.

We must admit we are poor before we can be made rich. We must admit we are destitute before we can become children of adoption. When we realize that all our own goodness is as filthy rags in God’s sight, and become aware of the destructive power of our stubborn wills; when we realize our absolute dependence upon the grace of God through faith and nothing more, then we have started on the road to happiness.

Man does not come to know God through works—he comes to know God by faith through grace. You cannot work your way toward happiness and heaven, you cannot moralize your way, you cannot reform your way, you cannot buy your way. It comes as a gift of God through Christ.

Listen: Billy Graham preaches on total surrender.

Prayer for the day
Ever impress upon us, Lord Jesus, that it is through grace that we came to know You; that it is because of You that we stand righteous before You.

Avoiding the Rearview Mirror by Rick Warren
“Put your heart right, Job. Reach out to God . . . Then face the world again, firm and courageous. Then all your troubles will fade from your memory, like floods that are past and remembered no more” (Job 11:13, 15-16 GNT).

You can’t heal the most pervasive, costly wounds in your life by focusing on your past. To defeat those giants, you need to look ahead.

Do you try to find healing by looking in your rearview mirror? When you do this, you’re more likely to crash than heal. Focusing on whatever happened in your past that’s making you seek healing won’t lead you in the right direction.

In the story of Job, we discover how to get rid of painful memories and move on with our lives: “Put your heart right, Job. Reach out to God . . . Then face the world again, firm and courageous. Then all your troubles will fade from your memory, like floods that are past and remembered no more” (Job 11:13, 15-16 GNT).

First, put your heart right. You do what’s right—no matter what the other person has done to you. Forgiveness is always the right choice.

Second, reach out to God. Invite Jesus into every “room” in the house of your heart. You may have invited him into the front room (accepted Jesus as your Savior) but not the other rooms in your heart.

Third, face the world again. Don’t hide in a shell or withdraw to avoid getting hurt again. Move forward. Learn to live again.

Your past is not your future. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, the people you’ve done it with, or how long you’ve done it. Throughout Scripture, God forgave murderers, adulterers, and slackers, and he used them to do his work in the world.

You, too, have a great future ahead of you. Put your heart right, reach out to God, and face the world again.

And then let God do something incredible through you.

What person (or people) do you need to forgive in order to “put your heart right”?
As you reach out to God for healing, into what “rooms” in the house of your heart do you still need to invite Jesus?
In what ways do you “hide in a shell” as you deal with hurt in your life?

Kindness and Goodness by Joel Osteen
See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek that which is good for one another and for all people.
1 Thessalonians 5:15, AMP

TODAY'S WORD:

In Galatians 5, the Scripture talks about the nine fruit of the Spirit or the spiritual qualities that manifest in our lives when we allow Him to work in us. The more we invite God to move in our hearts and follow His Word, the more those characteristics will manifest in us.

Kindness and goodness are two of those fruit of the Spirit. The Scripture tells us that His kindness leads people to repentance. In other words, kindness advances the kingdom of God. The more kindness and goodness we show other people, the more we are acting like God. The Bible also tells us that what we sow, we shall reap. When we seek to do good to others, we will reap goodness in our own lives in return.

Today, look for ways to show kindness and goodness to the people around you, even when they aren’t kind to you. Don’t repay evil for evil. Take the high road. Bless those who wrongfully use you. Seek to do good, show kindness, and you will see it come back as a blessing in your own life in return!?

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Heavenly Father, thank You for displaying Your character through me. I choose to show kindness and goodness so that I can honor You with my thoughts, words and actions all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

In Everything, Give Thanks by Joyce Meyer
Through Him, therefore, let us at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.

— Hebrews 13:15 (AMP)

We should not just praise and offer thanksgiving when there is a reason to do so. It is easy to give thanks and praise if we have a reason. But then it is not a sacrifice. We should, of course, offer up praise and thanksgiving at all times, being mindful to thank God for all the blessings in our lives and for the favor He has shown us.

If we started making a list of blessings, we would be quickly enlightened concerning just how good we really have it. There are many things we take for granted because we have an abundance of them, when people in other countries would think they were wealthy if they had them. Clean, fresh water is an example...

In India and many other parts of the world, water is a commodity that is not easy to come by. Some people must walk miles just to get a day's supply of it. We take baths in it, swim in it, do dishes in it, wash our hair in it, cook with it, etc. We can have it hot or cold, as often as we like, as much as we desire.

There are times while I am taking a hot shower, especially if I am tired, when I stop to give thanks to God for hot water. There are many things to be thankful for if we decide we are going to be people who continually offer up thanksgiving. The flesh looks for things to complain about, but the spirit searches for reasons to give God glory.

Prayer Starter: Father, I want to take a moment right now to thank You for all of the wonderful blessings in my life. Most of all, thank You for Your great love and for sending Jesus so we can have a relationship with You. Help me to always have an attitude of thanks and focus on the good things You are doing in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Friends of Christ by Dr. Charles Stanley
John 15:14-17

There is no higher privilege than becoming a friend of Jesus Christ. And that is what He calls those of us who have believed and received Him as our Savior and Lord. What an amazing thought—that Jesus died for us and suffered our punishment for sins so that we could have a relationship with the Father through Him.

Sometimes people get the idea that the Lord is some distant deity who is busy with global problems but isn’t concerned about individuals. Or perhaps they think that He’s an uninvolved Creator who made mankind and left them to figure everything out on their own. The truth is that the triune God is a relational being who created humans in His image and invites us to enter into a relationship with Him.

Although sin broke that possibility, the plan of redemption was already in place. Then, at just the right time, the Son of God came into the world and by His own death made it possible for mankind to be set free from sin and reconciled to the Father. We have been made new creatures who can now respond to our Creator with love, worship, and obedience.

Christians today tend to focus on Jesus’ teaching, miracles, and death on the cross, but we should not overlook the fact that He spent three years with 12 men in a tight relational bond. His priority was to instruct and prepare them to reach the world with the gospel of salvation after He returned to the Father. We are the spiritual descendants of the Lord’s disciples, and He imparts His Spirit to us as our closest companion and comforter.

Open Heavens: Danger of Ignoring the Poor by Pastor E.A Adeboye
Thursday September 19th 2019
Memorise: Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard. Proverbs 21:13

Read: Matthew 25:32-46 (KJV)
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

2nd Kings 5-6,
Daniel 4:28-37,

Hymn:
Sing hymn 5

Message:
Many Christians don’t realise the dangers inherent in ignoring the poor around them. From today’s Bible reading, we see that the Lord cares for the less privileged so much that He literally feels their pain. This means that every time you disregard a person in need, you are ignoring God himself. Matthew 25:45-46 says:

“Then shall be answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”

From these verses we understand that neglecting the needy is a passageway to hell fire. When people come to you in hunger, do you give them food or turn deaf ears to their pleas? When someone is sick, do you visit to show love and pray with him or her or do you just go about your own business? When you see someone who needs new clothes, do you scorn or abuse the person for looking haggard of giving out some of the clothes in your wardrobe that you haven’t worn in a long while? If you are ignoring people’s needs around you, be careful because you just might be disregarding God Himself, and the result is eternity in hell.

Believe me honestly, if you make it a point of duty to always give to the poor, you will be blessed bountifully for it. it is popularly said that givers never lack. I believe this to be very true because Proverbs 19:17 says:

“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will be pay him again.”

No one who neglects the poor has a place in heaven. In Matthew 19;16-25, a rich young man went to see Jesus, and he told Him that he had kept all Jewish laws from his youth, but he still felt like he was lacking something. Jesus told him that if he wanted to be perfect, he should sell all that he had and give the proceeds to the poor. This was too hard for the rich man to do, so he went away in sorrow.

Then Jesus turned to His disciples and told them it is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. In other words, if you are rich and you find anything too big or too valuable to let go of for the sake of the poor, then there is no place for you in the kingdom of heaven. Many people judge this rich young man, but they would do exactly the same thing he did if they were in his shoes. If I may ask, do you care enough for the needy that you can sell all you have to meet their needs? Difficult as this may sound, it is reflective of the kind of heart that has a place in heaven.

Lack of Faithfulness by John Hagee
1 Corinthians 4:2
Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful

Focus and faithfulness go together like faith and works. Without works, our faith is dead. Without faithfulness, our focus fizzles.

An overwhelming lack of faithfulness exists around us. Temporary commitments abound. We find a world grown weary of doing good (Galatians 6:9). The moment that faithfulness runs up against discomfort, it fades.

True faithfulness is demonstrated in the difficult times. God desires a people who are faithful to read and obey His Word. He desires a people who pray continually – believing that He will respond. He wants a people who serve faithfully in even the small things. He wants a people who are faithful to bring their hearts to enter His gates with praise.

Faithfulness comes easily when life flows smoothly. But on the hardest day of your life, how do you remain focused and faithful? When trouble looms on every side?

You may not see the way through. Take one more step of faith. You may feel absolutely alone. Take one more step. When the darkness presses in, take one more step. Remain focused on the promise that He made to you. Remain faithful to take just one more step.

On the path that He opens before you, He waits with hands outstretched. He has not abandoned you. He is working everything out for your good.

Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Even in the difficult times, may God empower you with focus and faithfulness. May every step be one of purpose and perseverance until you possess the promise He has given!

Determined To Win by Jerry Savelle
Therefore, do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. (Hebrews 10:35-36 NKJV)

Once you’ve made the decision to believe and act on what the Word of God says about your situation, you need to understand something: the manifestation of God’s answer may either come quickly, or it may take some time. The question is, are you determined to stand until your breakthrough arrives?

The Greek word translated as determined means “a firmness of purpose.” It also means “to give definite aim or direction; an unwavering resolution; to set boundary.”

The Word of God is either true, or it isn’t. God can either be trusted, or He can’t. Well, God’s Word is true and He can be trusted. So why waver? Make a firm resolution in your heart and mind that you are not going to compromise or be moved by what you see, hear, or feel.

Once you determine that the only thing you will allow to move you is the Word of God, you’ll see the wholeness that you are believing for.

Confession: Father, I determine to do Your will and live according to Your Word. My trust is in You alone, and I refuse to be moved by anything else. I hold on to my confidence, knowing I will receive all You have promised me.

Quench The Enemy's Fiery Darts by Joseph Prince
Ephesians 6:16

above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

I believe that when you pray in the Spirit, that is, in tongues, a shield goes up all around you—a watery shield. But why do I call it a “watery” shield? Let me share with you what the Lord showed me.

Once, I was meditating on Ephesians 6:16—“above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” At first, I thought of a Roman soldier’s wooden shield. But three words kept repeating themselves in my mind: “quench” and “fiery darts.” Then, the Lord said, “Son, if it is a wooden shield, the fiery darts will burn it up.” He showed me a  watery shield instead, one which was able to quench the fiery darts.

You may ask, “Where did the water come from?”

Remember that Jesus said, “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38). The next verse says, “But this He spoke concerning the Spirit...” (John 7:39).

Jesus was speaking about the Holy Spirit, which He likened to rivers of living water flowing out of us. So when we pray in the Spirit, rivers of living water will flow, quenching the devil’s fiery darts thrown at us!

This happened one day when I was having supper with a church member. Now, I don’t often pray in tongues when I say grace over my food. But that night, I felt prompted by the Spirit to do so. So I prayed in tongues as I laid my hands on my packet of nasi lemak (coconut-flavored rice).

Soon, we were tucking into our food and talking when suddenly, I bit on something hard. I spat it out quickly and realized that it was a nail! Then, I realized that this was the reason the Lord wanted me to pray in tongues. Though the devil was trying to “nail” me, he failed!

My friend, put up the watery shield that God has given you. Pray in the Spirit and quench the enemy’s fiery darts!

A Word About Angels by Kenneth Copeland
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Psalm 91:11

It’s time to set the record straight. Angels are not kid stuff. They’re not little fat babies with long blonde hair and bows and arrows in their hands. Angels are big, strong warriors. They are real. They are powerful. And if you are a believer, they are a vital part of your life.

We see examples of what angels can do all through the Bible. For instance, when the children of Israel were fleeing from Egypt with Pharaoh’s army hot on their heels, the Bible tells us that suddenly the wheels on the Egyptians’ chariots got fouled up. They just quit rolling!

Who do you think caused that? The angels, of course!

They haven’t retired since then either. Angels are at work today just as they’ve always been.

A few years ago in one of Israel’s major wars, the enemy had their guns trained on Israeli cities. Those guns were the finest military equipment money could buy. They had a range of at least 20 miles and were equipped with electronic gun sights for accuracy.

But something very odd happened. Every time they fired those guns at the Israelis, they either overshot or fell far short of their targets. We know there was nothing wrong with the guns because later the Israelis captured them and fired them back at the enemy with perfect success.

What happened? Angels, that’s what!

My friend, that isn’t just a fairy tale. That’s a real-life example of the involvement of angels in the lives of God’s people today. And, if you’re a child of God, you have a right to expect God’s angels to do the same kind of things for you.

So, start expecting! Say, “Thank You, heavenly Father, for giving Your angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways.” Once you’ve spoken that word of faith, stand fast. Don’t fear. Don’t waver. Just be patient and keep believing, and you will surely see the salvation of the Lord.

Acts 12:1-17
