Blessed Wherever You Go by Joel Osteen
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands…you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
Deuteronomy 28:1-3, NIV

TODAY'S WORD:

Do you want to experience more of God's blessing in your life? Living in obedience and integrity is the key that unlocks the door to His abundance. When you put God first place in your life, you'll be blessed in the city and in the country—you'll be blessed wherever you go! Deuteronomy 28 goes on to say that you will be so blessed that you will lend and not borrow. Can you see yourself in that position? Can you see yourself living in that kind of abundance? God doesn't want you to be living with a barely-get-by attitude. We don't serve a barely-get-by God; our God is more than enough! He wants you to have more than enough to meet your needs and be a blessing to the people around you. Today, make room in your life for the blessing of God. Choose to live in obedience to His Word and be blessed wherever you go!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father, thank You for Your hand of blessing on my life. I choose today to put You first in everything I do. Help me to walk in integrity and follow Your commands so that I can honor You always. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

You Were Made for Something More Joyce Meyer
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

— Isaiah 40:31

Do you ever feel you are like an eagle in a chicken yard—grounded and pent up when you should be soaring? You know there is much more within you than you are experiencing and expressing in your life right now. You know God has a great purpose for your life—and you cannot escape or ignore the inner urge to “go for it.”

Know this: all eagles are uncomfortable in a barnyard; they all long for the clear, blue, open skies. When you are living in a place that keeps you from being who you were made to be and doing what you are meant to do, you will be uncomfortable, too. But also realize that people around you may not understand your desire to break out of the box. They may want to clip your wings.

When you hear their comments and questions, something inside of you may ask, “What is wrong with me? Why do I think as I think? Why do I feel this way? Why can’t I just settle down and live a normal life like everybody else?” The reason you cannot just settle down is that you are not a chicken; you are an eagle! You will never feel at home in that chicken yard, because you were made for something bigger, more beautiful, and more fulfilling.

I encourage you today to fan the flame inside of you. Fan it until it burns brightly. Never give up on the greatness for which you were created, never try to hide your uniqueness, and never feel you cannot do what you believe you were made to do. Realize that your hunger for adventure is God-given; wanting to try something new is a wonderful desire, and embracing life and aiming high is what you were made for. You are an eagle!

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You for the greatness You have placed inside of me—the desire to be more, do more, and soar higher. Help me to approach life with boldness and never settle for anything less than what You have for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Grace-Filled Speech by Dr. Charles Stanley
Titus 2:7-8

Words are powerful. Harsh remarks can cause a destructive chain reaction, like a match in the forest during a drought. Kind comments, on the other hand, feel like a light summer rain that brings relief from the heat of day.

We can know our words are refreshing and seasoned with grace when ...

Our tone and manner reflect the way we want others to speak to us. The behavior of others shouldn’t determine whether we speak kindly to them.  If we want people to talk to us gently, we should consistently present positive body language and speak with a gentle voice.

What we say about others is similar to what we would want said of us. We all need to have our strengths emphasized by friends and family so we can be confident of the gifts God has given us.

We speak only words we know to be true. Gossip and lies have no place in a Christian’s conversation. The Lord opposes lying tongues and false witnesses (Prov. 6:16-19).

Our speech is edifying. Speaking fairly and positively about others is part of godly speech.

Transforming our conversation begins with the right heart attitude. When we spend time in the Word of God, our hearts will soften and we’ll begin to respond differently. The Holy Spirit will convict us when our speech is inappropriate. He’ll also teach us to be aware of which words we use and when to stop talking. God will be glorified and others will be blessed when we practice grace-filled speech.

The Gratitude by John Hagee
Psalm 118:24
This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it

Gratitude determines our attitude. The more thankful we are, the better our attitude – and our outcome – will be.

Rejoicing is a habit that we choose. It has nothing to do with the details of our circumstances but everything to do with a heart fixed on Him. And practice makes perfect!

When the alarm rings, thank God for new mercies every morning. This is the day that the Lord has made –choose to meet it with gladness.

Make work a sacrifice of praise to God. No complaining about overpacked schedules or unpleasant coworkers! Thank God for the means to provide for our families and for healthy bodies to accomplish all that is required.

As we drift off to sleep, thank God for our homes, for protection over loved ones, for the food that He gave us to eat today.

And always, thank God for the joy of our salvation! His blood has washed us white as snow, forgiven us, and set us free. Even on rough days, thank Him for His sufficient grace that covers all imperfections. For protection and provision, bless His holy name.

Make gratitude your point on purpose! As we think on all He has done, gratitude swells in our hearts to overflow into our attitudes which change the atmosphere and our outcomes. Rejoice and be glad!

Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May your gratitude elevate your attitude and change the atmosphere for His glory. Rejoice and be glad in this day that God has given you!

I Am A Friend of God by Jerry Savelle
No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you (John 15:15 NKJV).

God doesn’t just want servants; He wants friends. He didn’t create mankind so that He could have someone to grovel at His feet with his face in the dirt. No! God wanted friends He could walk and talk with in the cool of the day (see Genesis 3:8).

Through Jesus’ sacrifice, the intimate relationship Adam first shared with God is now available to every believer.

Remaining conscious of your righteousness in Christ gives you boldness before God and makes your fellowship with the Father more intimate.

Righteousness gives you the confidence to come before God and talk to Him as your best friend. When you understand He looks at you as if you are as perfect as Jesus, you will never experience any sense of inferiority. That’s why the Bible says, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16 NKJV).

Only when you understand your righteousness in Christ, and remain mindful of it, can you walk intimately with God as His friend. So, come boldly to the Father today, secure in your righteousness in Christ, and talk to Him face-to-face, as your friend.

Confession: Nothing shall separate me from the love of my heavenly Father, which He has poured out on me through Jesus Christ. Because my righteousness is in Christ, I can go boldly to the throne of grace knowing I am a friend of God.

The Promise of The Father by Joseph Prince
Acts 1:8

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Before Jesus went back to heaven, He told His disciples to “wait for the Promise of the Father” (Acts 1:4). There are thousands of promises in the Bible, so which promise was He referring to?

The early church knew which promise Jesus was referring to because He had told His disciples, “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the Promise of the Father, which you have heard Me speak about. For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now” (Acts 1:4–5). Jesus was referring to the baptism in the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues (see Acts 2:1–4).

Jesus wants you to know the value of the Promise of the Father because He said, “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me...” He did not say, “You shall do witnessing,” but “You shall be witnesses.” In other words, your very person will be a witness to Him!

This is because the power you receive when you are baptized in the Holy Spirit is the same power that so anointed Peter that the sick were laid on the streets for his shadow to fall on them and heal them (see Acts 5:15). Even handkerchiefs and aprons from Paul’s body were so saturated with the anointing of the Spirit that when they touched the sick, people witnessed diseases and evil spirits leaving the sick (see Acts 19:12)!

That same power caused a Holy Spirit-baptized church member, who prayed in tongues, to experience God’s healing power when he laid hands on his mother who was in an advanced stage of cancer. And because she was healed, she became a witness of the love and power of God to her friends and unbelieving relatives.

Beloved, when you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, you will be a witness to others that no problem, trial, disease or sickness is a match for the power of the Spirit in you!

A Need for God by Billy Graham
Christ in your hearts is your only hope of glory.
—Colossians 1:27 (TLB)

The age-old issue, “Can man save himself, or does he need God?” is still raging across the world as furiously as ever. As long as the world goes on, people will build towers of Babel, fashion their graven images, and invent their own ideologies. Now, as in every period of history, people think they can manage without God.

Economically, they may manage; intellectually, they may manage; socially, they may get by. But down underneath the surface of rational man is a vacuum-a void that can be met only through Jesus Christ. The most astounding fact of all history is that the great and almighty God of heaven can live in your heart. It makes no difference who you are.

Does God live in your heart? Fill the void in your life and commit yourself to Jesus.

Prayer for the day
You fill the emptiness and longing of my soul. I need the presence of Your Spirit, dear Lord.

Open Heavens: Safe in His Hands by Pastor E.A Adeboye
Open Heaven 2019
Memorise: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

Read: Luke 1:70-75 (KJV)
70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

Bible in one year:
2nd Chronicles 21:23,
Revelation 16,

Hymn:
Sing hymn 13

Message:
Today’s Bible reading should inspire confidence of absolute security in those who are children of Abraham through faith in the Son of the Living God (Galatians 3:7-9).

The question is, are you a true child of Abraham? As a child of Abraham, David’s confidence in the protection of the God of Abraham moved him to make this exuberant declaration of faith in Psalm 23:4

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

In order to put our minds at rest and leave us with absolutely no doubt of His commitment to our security, several passage of the Bible re-echo God’s promise of divine safety to us. The Lord guarantees that He will defend us for His Name’s sake (1st Samuel 12:22, Psalms 106:8, Psalms 23:3). This is significant and very reassuring because we know His Name does not change nor can He deny His Name (Psalm 135:13, 2nd Timothy 2:13). It is highly comforting when you realise that your Ally is the Almighty God; but then, you must have a relationship with Him – a Father-child, Shepherd-sheep and Lord-disciple relationship.

The Almighty God recognises that we are surrounded by enemies in this world, and for that reason He has put a plan in place to save us from them all, through the power of the new covenant in the Blood of Jesus. Why has God done this for us? Luke 1:74-75 answers this question, saying;

“…. That we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.”

As the redeemed of the Lord, there should be no fear in us concerning our enemies. We are the triumphant Church of Jesus Christ, sitting with Him in heavenly places in dominion. We do not walk in fear because fear has torment (1st John 4:18). Fear has pushed a lot of people into doing several abominable things like witchcraft, sorcery and joining all sorts of occult groups.

Needless to say, a child of God cannot be found with such, as there is no holiness in occult groups, neither is there righteousness in the company of diviners. Beloved, the Lord has made up His mind to defend you if only you will trust Him. Are you in any secret society in order to protect yourself physically or financially? You need to quit today because they cannot help you on the fearful day of the Lord (2nd Peter 3:10-13). If you are a child of God, you have no reason to fidget; Jesus is Lord and the Lord of Hosts for that matter. Therefore, cheer up!

Prayer Point:
Father I thank You for this assurance of my safety and security. Please don’t let me stray away from under Your divine protection.

Covenant Prosperity by Kenneth Copeland
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant.

Deuteronomy 8:18

What is God's reason for prospering His people? Is it so we can watch bigger TVs? So we can buy finer houses and more luxurious cars?

Establishing God's covenant on the earth and giving to those in need: Those are God's purposes for prosperity!

I've had some people tell me, "Well, Brother Copeland, Jesus' ministry was poor and He got along just fine." That's ridiculous. All the way through the Old Testament God promised material blessings to anyone who would walk perfectly and uprightly before Him. If God had failed to bless Jesus financially, He would have been breaking His own Word.

Jesus never built a worldly empire for Himself. But that doesn't mean He was poor. It means He was the greatest giver who ever walked the face of this earth—and it's about time we started following in His footsteps.

If we'll start giving, if we'll start taking care of the needs in people's pocketbooks, we'll be far more likely to win their hearts.

What do you think will happen to the heart of a starving nation when you bring in a 747 full of food, clothes and medical supplies to them in the Name of Jesus and His love? The hearts of those people are going to soften! They're going to be willing to listen to what we have to say about Jesus.

Don't you ever let anyone tell you it's wrong to want to prosper. It's wrong for you not to want to prosper when that prosperity can mean the difference between heaven and hell for millions of people.

Forget about your own little needs. Raise your vision and set your mind on giving to meet someone else's, on establishing God's covenant in the earth. Then stand fast in faith and get ready to enjoy the greatest prosperity you've ever known.

Stress Management Starts in the Mind by Rick Warren
“Think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected” (Philippians 4:8 NCV).

The battle with stress in your life begins between your ears. It’s in your thought life.

What you fill your mind with determines the level of stress in your life.

The Bible says to “think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected” (Philippians 4:8 NCV).

To lower your stress, change what you think about. In this verse, the Bible gives us eight tests for deciding if we should allow something in our mind. Ask yourself, “Is it good? Is it worthy of praise? Is it true? Is it honorable? Is it right? Is it pure? Is it beautiful? Is it respected?”

When you think about things that are good, worthy of praise, true, honorable, right, pure, beautiful, and respected, you’re really picturing God.

Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” (NLT).

What you think about determines how stressed and worried you will be. If you fix your thoughts on God, he will keep you in perfect peace.

Beauty for Ashes by Joel Osteen
...to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness...
Isaiah 61:3, TLV

TODAY'S WORD:

Everyone has experienced hurt and disappointment. We’ve all been burned by life. But God doesn’t want us to sit in the ashes of the past, He wants to trade our brokenness for healing. He wants to give us beauty for our ashes, joy for mourning, and praise for despair. Ashes represent what’s left over after something’s been burned up—our broken dreams, our disappointments, our hurts, our failures. The key is that we have to be willing to give up the ashes in order to receive the beauty. You can’t have both because the old has to go before the new can come.

Today, are you willing to trust Him with your past hurts? Are you willing to let go of the pain, to forgive others and yourself so you can move forward in freedom? Don’t waste another day sitting in the ashes. The past is over, but your future remains. Your best days are ahead. Let God give you joy instead of mourning, and let Him make something beautiful out of the ashes of your life today!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

God, thank You for promising to sweep away the ashes of my past and give me something beautiful in their place. I choose to give them up to You and receive Your healing and restoration in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

A Natural Expression of Thanksgiving by Joyce Meyer
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!

— Psalm 107:1

Thanksgiving can be a part of who we are deep down in our hearts; it is a type of prayer and it should flow out of us in a natural way that is simple and genuine.

Being thankful does not mean merely sitting down at the end of a day, trying to remember everything we need to be thankful for because we think we have to thank God in order to make Him happy, or to satisfy some spiritual requirement, or try to get Him to do something else for us.

Instead, it means having a heart that is sensitive to God’s presence in our everyday lives, and just breathing out grateful prayers of thanksgiving every time we see Him working in our lives or blessing us.

Prayer Starter: Father, I am thankful that prayer is not some ritual or formula that I am required to follow. I am grateful that prayer is a comfortable, ongoing conversation with You based on an intimate relationship with You. I love You, Father, and I am excited to give You thanks all day long. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

God’s Goodness by John Hagee
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you

Our attitude determines the difference we make. Our focus on God’s goodness factors into our ability to have kingdom impact.

People with the right attitude often do impossible things. Conversely, people with the wrong attitude do little; they tie their own hands.

In every circumstance, our attitude decides whether to name it a blessing or a burden. In every challenge, we choose whether to believe God for more or to become frustrated by the situation. Our attitude determines whether we will praise Him or whether we will dissolve into complaints and accusations.

Complaining cancels out the power of praise. God instructs everything that has breath to praise Him. Praise Him for His mighty acts! Praise Him for His excellent greatness! When we elevate our perspective, our attitude comes into alignment.

Our attitude is determined by three things: the gratitude that is in our hearts, how we praise God, and the time that we spend in prayer. We are not helpless victims of our emotions. We have the option to choose our actions and reactions. We get to decide.

Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything, give thanks. This is the will of God in Christ Jesus for all of us. These actions determine our attitude and the difference we make.

Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May God give you beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, and praise for discouragement. In everything, give thanks to God to make a difference in this world!

In closing his letter to the Colossians, the apostle Paul highlighted some essentials of the Christian life—devotion to prayer, an attitude of gratefulness, and wise dealings with unbelievers. Reminding us to make the most of opportunities to share our testimony, Paul said, “Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt” (Col. 4:6).

The apostle knew the tongue’s power for good and encouraged using words to influence others for Jesus. James took the opposite approach, describing the harm tongues can do. He likened them to sparks that set a forest on fire or a restless evil that can poison (James 3:5; James 3:8). Sadly, we see this truth lived out in the media, workplace, families, and even churches.

Consider how we respond when we hear about a stranger who has ruined his personal life, carried out ruthless business practices, or brought public condemnation on himself. Our first response is often criticism and judgment instead of compassion or sorrow.

But we can learn from Jesus’ example. He asked the Samaritan woman simple questions so she’d recognize her need for living water (John 4:7-26); He invited Himself to the house of the hated tax collector (Luke 19:1-10) and He stood between the adulterous woman and her critics before gently bringing correction (John 8:1-11). Jesus’ words were seasoned with grace.

As representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ, we must learn to speak graciously. Let’s make it our habit to use a kind tone of voice, courteous approach, humble spirit, and edifying words.

You Are Unique In Him by Jerry Savelle
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10 NKJV).

God created you with a unique personality. He gave you specific gifts and interests. His intention is that you express and live out everything He created you to be. However, to do this it is necessary that you first find out who you are in Christ.

Believers who are living out who they are in Christ will have certain things in common. They will walk in love, be extremely positive, and walk by faith.

However, not every believer was created to express Christ in them in exactly the same way. God never wanted us to be clones of anyone else. Take a look at your fingerprints; no one on the face of this earth has fingerprints like yours.

God made you a unique individual according to His plan and purpose. He carefully established your personality, talents, and interests. He gave you an assignment to pursue that would suit you perfectly and be fulfilling.

Only when you learn to walk in Him will you fully express the fullness of all that God has imparted to you, just as these heroes of the Bible did:

In Him, Joseph was an excellent administrator and national leader
In Him, Deborah received revelation that affected the destiny of a nation
In Him, Solomon was extremely wise and extremely rich
In Him, Abraham was a friend of God and a model father
In Him, Gideon was a mighty man of valor
When you learn to walk in Him, you will discover and fully express the fullness of all God has invested into you.

Confession: I am a child of God. In Him I walk by faith, knowing that I am His workmanship and I will accomplish the good works He has prepared for me.

You Are God's Beloved by Joseph Prince
Ephesians 1:6

to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

At the Jordan river, Jesus heard His Father say to Him, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased” (Luke 3:22). Later, in the wilderness, Jesus heard the devil say to Him, “If You are the Son of God…” (Luke 4:3).

Notice that the devil not only questioned Jesus’ sonship, but he also dropped the word “beloved” when he said to Jesus, “If You are the Son of God…” You see, the devil cannot remind you that you are God’s beloved because when you know this truth, whatever he wants to bring against you will not succeed!

Many girls are giving away their virginity because they need to feel wanted and loved. And young boys join gangs to feel accepted because they have been rejected and made to feel worthless by others.

But when you know that you are God’s beloved, no temptation can succeed against you, not even the “giants” who may taunt you. Consider David who slew Goliath. “David” in Hebrew means “beloved.” It takes a David to knock down a giant. In other words, it takes someone who knows that he is God’s beloved to win the fights of life!

You are God’s beloved not because of what you do. Christ did everything. He is God’s Beloved. But God put you in Christ. That is why you are “accepted in the Beloved.” And what God said to Jesus, He says to you today: “You are My beloved son. In you, I am well pleased.”

So if the devil tells you, “Hey, you call yourself ‘God’s beloved’ after what you just did?” have the assurance that it is not based on what you have done, but what Christ has done. And you are still God’s beloved because you are in Christ!

When you say that, I believe the devil screams in frustration because he has no power over you when you are conscious that you are God’s beloved. There is truly a place of safety when you know that you are His beloved.

My friend, we are not being proud when we call ourselves God’s beloved. How can we boast when we know that it is God’s grace that has made us accepted in the Beloved!

The Ark of The Covenant by Tammy Lang Jensen
The Lord was showing me, when you start declaring the word of God all of Heaven responds.

There are actually bowls that fill with the tangible essence, when you pray and decree, it looks like flowing milk and honey are moving silk! May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up on my hands be like the evening sacrifice (Psalm 141:2)....

I then saw a woman sitting in front of the ark of the covenant. Head down, knees pulled up, in the presence of the Lord. Sometimes we miss grand opportunities to pray and be in the presence of the Lord because we think everything needs to be perfect. But the word clearly says to pray without ceasing! So let it be said, when we pray, proclaim, decree, declare; are we not in the presence of the Lord. Last night, my husband baked cookies, and while he was baking I started declaring scriptures over our family and our friends. I asked for Open heavens right there in my kitchen. So my question is this, Are my prayers less powerful because I was not in the prayer closet, wearing a prayer shawl, with the right smelling candle and anointing oil? The obvious answer is no, and the Lord keeps highlighting,”Missed Opportunities!”....

For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, For we also are His children (Acts 17:28). Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? (Psalm 139:7). And he said, My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest (Exodus 33:14). Let it be said that, I draw near to all who draw near to me. So don’t let ceremony stop you,”Draw near to me!” When you wake in the morning, call to me! My word says, call to me and I will answer and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3). When you go to sleep at night, reach for my steadfast hand....

I know all things, I am all things and I can do all things. My love for you is eternal....

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand (Psalm 16:11). Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah. For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as God promised long-ago through his holy prophets (Acts 3:20-21). There are holy sacred anointed times. Times of great ceremony and reverential fear of the Lord. We never want to lose sight of his Lordship and the fear of the Lord. But at the same time, let it not be said of you, “Missed Opportunities!”....

So I leave you with these final words from revelations and one more reminder to pray without ceasing, the season is now and the time is always right. The Throne in Heaven
4 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” 2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne. 4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a] of God. 6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.

In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:

“‘Holy, holy, holy

is the Lord God Almighty,’[b]

who was, and is, and is to come.”

9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.” (Revelation 4:1-11)....

I woke up seeing a watch face, and on it was written in capital letters, "GRACE."

Beloved. Fear not, It is the Time of Grace. Here is Truth. Grace came through your Savior. It is the message of the AGES, My Child. For by GRACE you have been saved through faith, it is My Gift to you, Dear One. Grace is the message of the gospel. Oh, how the enemy fights against that which has saved you and keeps you.

He has distorted the message of My Grace to cause you to doubt My Goodness in your life. He wants you to strive to be "good enough." But hear the Word of the Lord, My Child. Through all the coming ages, it is the surpassing RICHES of My GRACE you shall dwell in. Oh My Child, how the enemy has tried to rob you of your inheritance. It is always My GOODNESS that leads men to repentance. Because of My GREAT Love for you, I have made you ALIVE with Christ Jesus by My Spirit. Let Me comfort your heart, My Child. Accept My Gift by faith. You are loved, forgiven and made righteous by the Gift of Grace. Not of works, lest any one should boast. So rest, Beloved, in this knowledge; Your Abba Father shall forever display My Lovingkindness to you in Christ Jesus. With Him, I GRACIOUSLY give you ALL things. Forever, shouts of "GRACE GRACE" shall ring through the heavens on your behalf!

...Ephesians 2:4But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ, even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by GRACE you have been saved! 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His GRACE, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by GRACE you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

...Romans 5:17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's ABUNDANT PROVISION OF GRACE and of the GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS reign in life through the one Man, Jesus Christ!

...Romans 8:32 God, who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him GRACIOUSLY give us all things?

...Ephesians 1:2Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms.

...Zechariah 4:6So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of Hosts. 7What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain. Then he will bring forth the capstone accompanied by shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”

Open Heavens: Godly Leadership Principles by Pastor E.A Adeboye
Sunday October 20th 2019
Memorise: If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. John 13:14

Read: Luke 22:24-27 (KJV)
24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.
26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

Bible in one year:
2nd Chronicles 19:20,
Revelation 14:14-15:8,

Hymn:
Sing hymn 10

Message:
Leadership is very vital to God’s created order, so much so that even animals have a way of choosing leaders among themselves.

When you watch wildlife documentaries, you will appreciate how important leadership is in fulfilling God’s plan and purpose in the affairs of living creatures. Today, we shall be considering leadership from God’s perspective. I believe this will help us to set our priorities in order as we go about our leadership obligations where God has placed us, whether in the family, school, church, community or country.

In today’s Bible reading, our Lord Jesus Christ taught godly leadership principles in response to an argument among His disciples on who should be their leader. Jesus did not only teach these principles theoretically, He also taught them practically with His leadership lifestyle. He specifically said in Luke 22:27:

“For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? Is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

In this verse, the Lord established the principle of leadership by example. It is however amazing that many do not lead by example. Even in the Church today, some leaders demand hero-worship from the flock of Jesus Christ. Many guest ministers dictate the type of hotel accommodation their hosts should provide for them as part of the preconditions for accepting invitations to minister God’s word. Some even have a ‘price list’ stating the honorarium they must receive and the class of flight they must be flown in. instead of the richer ministers to support the upcoming ones with the wealth of experience they have, they scare them away from partaking of their anointing through the enormous cost of inviting them for ministrations. Some senior pastors are becoming burdensome to junior ones because just one statutory visit from them places unbearable financial obligations on their growing parishes. If the spread of the gospel will not be inhibited, we must go back to the leadership principles of our Lord in John 13:13-15, which says:

“Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.”

Beloved, only the principle of leadership through service can stand the test of time, even in the political arena. Selfish and self-centred leadership does not endure beyond the ordained tenure of a leader. Let us follow the leadership principles of Jesus Christ, built on love and firmness and devoid of hypocrisy.

Prayer Point
Father, impart in me the leadership traits of Jesus Christ my Lord.

Prescription for Life by Gloria Copeland
If any one intends to come after Me, let him deny himself [forget, ignore, disown and lose sight of himself and his own interests] and take up his cross, and...follow with Me. For whoever wants to save his [higher, spiritual, eternal] life, will lose it...and whoever gives up his life [which is lived only on earth] for My sake and the Gospel's will save [it].

Mark 8:34-35, The Amplified Bible

When Jesus said those words, He wasn't just giving us a prescription for getting to heaven. He was telling us how to live a superior life right here on earth.

You see, there's a high life that we can live right here, right now. But to get in on it, we have to lay down the way of life that most of us are accustomed to. We may have to let go of the very things we've been trying so hard to latch on to. We have to set our hearts instead on doing what God wants us to do.

That's what Jesus did. He didn't live His life for Himself. He lived it completely for God. He did only what the Father told Him to do—and He lived in total victory.

It's time to realize that getting born again is not something we do just to miss hell. Our purpose is to please God—to lay down our lives in order to fulfill His desires. To be His special possessions in the earth and to do whatever He tells us to do. Our top priority is to give ourselves to Him and to live in communication with Him. To spend enough time with Him that we can hear His voice and respond in obedience.

Only when we do that will we be genuinely fulfilled. Only when we do that will we be able to live the high life we've been longing for.

Scripture Reading:
Acts 20:7-24
